A major change has been made in England's maternity leave policy for women football players. After which the players are also going to be given 14 weeks leave along with regular pay and additional allowances from the coming season.

According to reports, the England Football Association has said that players playing the Women's Super League and women's championship are also going to be given these facilities. Earlier, it depended on the club how much leave he wanted to give and it was mandatory for him to have played with the club for at least 26 weeks.

Now there is no such compulsion under the new policy. Not only this, coverage under the agreement is also going to be more in case of injury and illness. Chelsea's manager Emma Hayes said: "This is another step in the right direction. It's not going to be applicable just in England, but all over the world. ’’
