Speaking to IB Times, the film's executive producer Karthik Gowda has said, "Had the lockdown not been implemented, the shoot of the film would have been completed by now. The film is still shooting for about 20 days. After getting permission from the government, we will resume post-production works. Even if we get permission to shoot in July, KGF 2 will be ready to release on its due date."
