New Delhi:  The Hyderabad-New Delhi Express, Kalka-Howrah Netaji Express, Gaya-New Delhi Mahabodhi Express, and Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express were all 1:30 hours late, due to foggy weather conditions, Railway officials said on Thursday.

Ayodhya Cantt- Delhi Express, Barauni to New Delhi Special,  Pratapgarh-new Delhi Padmavat Express and Rajgir- New Delhi Shramjeevi express were running late by 1:45 hours.

The officials also stated that the Jabalpur Nizamuddin Express and the Raigarh-Nizamuddin Express are 3:30 hours late.
While the Lucknow-New Delhi Express is delayed by 1:15 hours, the Raxaul-Anand Vihar Sadbhavna Express, the Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express, and the Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Express are all delayed by 2:45 hours, 2:30 hours, and 2 hours, respectively.

Due to poor visibility earlier on Christmas, numerous trains were also delayed, as per the statement from Northern Railways.

Also, As many as 100 flights were cancelled on Wednesday in Delhi alone, a city that is once again covered in a thick layer of fog while still dealing with extremely chilly temperatures.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the entire north of India is currently experiencing a cold wave and thick fog conditions, which have caused visibility to drastically decrease.
