New Delhi: Dense fog has started bothering people in many states of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, very dense fog may be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Chandigarh in the next three days. Along with this, cold waves will also prevail in many states of North India. The fall in temperature amid fog and cold waves is likely to increase winter in some areas.

In the satellite image, a layer of dense fog is seen in Punjab, northwest Rajasthan, entire Haryana, and eastern UP. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility was 25 meters at 5:30 am in Amritsar, Ganganagar, and Bareilly, while Ambala, Bahraich, and Varanasi recorded 50 meters visibility. According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave is expected in areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and North Rajasthan for the next 5 days. According to the Meteorological Department, between December 22 and 25, some areas of Punjab will be in the grip of a severe cold wave.

The minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 6 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 22 degrees. With this, a thick blanket of fog will be seen in Delhi for the third day today. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no change in the minimum temperature on December 22. However, the maximum temperature can be 21 degrees. At the same time, if we talk about pollution, then the air of the capital has once again become poisonous. The air quality of the Anand Vihar area was recorded at 413 at 6 pm yesterday.
