New Delhi: The second wave of corona virus in the country is slowing down, but delta plus, the new variant of Delta, has now raised another new concern. All epidemic experts have predicted the third wave of corona to be inevitable, meaning the third wave cannot be prevented from coming. The Delta Plus variant cannot be connected to the third wave of corona at present, said Dr. N.K. Arora, head of corona working group of the National Technical Advisory Group of Immunization. He asserted that since the variants are connected to the new wave, the possibility of a third wave cannot be ruled out.

Dr. N.K. Arora said, corona wave is linked to new variants or new mutations so the third wave is feared. But it is a new variant, it is difficult to answer whether this variant will cause the third wave. However, it can depend on two or three things. The Delta Plus variant cannot create difficulties for the country alone, Dr Arora said. If the third wave of corona comes, there are three factors that can control the third wave of the epidemic.

Three Factors of Prevention from The Third Wave:-

The first factor- The third wave will depend on how much population was infected due to the second wave. Dr Arora said, if a large part of the population is infected in another wave, a possible third wave may show a common cold-like disease in individuals, but then it will not prove to be as serious or fatal.

The second factor is that- if the vaccination campaign continues at the same pace, a large number of people will get vaccine by the time the third wave arrives. Even a dose of corona is capable of fighting the new wave. If we immunize more people at a faster pace, the chances of a third wave may be reduced to a great extent.

The third factor is the rigorous adherence to corona apropyrate behavior, including wearing masks, keeping social distances, etc. It can also protect individuals from all variants of corona.

Delta variant spreads rapidly:-
The delta variant of corona was first found in India. It is the most infectious variant, which spreads at a faster pace. However, nothing like this can be said about the Delta Plus variant at present as the variant has been present in India for the past two months. Experts say there is not enough evidence to confirm whether the variant is more frightening or immune-escape than delta. The delta variant has been the cause of the second wave of corona in India. Experts said the variant has spread to 174 cities in the country.
