Bengaluru: Train services at Bengaluru Cantonment (BNC) railway station will face disruptions from September 20 to December 20, 2024, due to redevelopment work. During this period, Platforms 2 and 3 will be closed.

According to Southern Railway officials, 44 trains will be affected over these 92 days, either being cancelled or rescheduled.

Cancelled and Rescheduled Train Services

  • Weekly Superfast Express (22135): This train, traveling from Mysuru to Renigunta with stops at Jolarpettai and Katpadi, will operate at 11 pm on September 20, September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18, and October 25. It will also run on November 1, November 8, November 15, November 22, and November 29, as well as December 6 and December 13.
  • Shatabdi Express (12028): Running between KSR Bengaluru and Dr MGR Chennai Central, this train will depart KSR Bengaluru at 6 am. It will not operate on Tuesdays between September 20 and December 20, 2024.
  • Express Train (12677): Traveling from KSR Bengaluru to Ernakulam, this train will leave KSR Bengaluru at 6:10 am.
  • Lalbagh Express (12608): Departing from KSR Bengaluru to Dr MGR Chennai Central, this train will start its journey at 6:20 am.
  • Murdeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express (16586): Leaving Murdeshwar at 2:10 pm, this train will stop at Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction, operating from September 19 to December 19, 2024.
  • Superfast Express (12610): This train will depart Mysuru at 5:00 am, heading to Dr MGR Chennai Central.
  • Special MEMU Passenger Train (06551): Running between KSR Bengaluru and Jolarpettai, this train will commence from Bengaluru at 8:45 am.
  • Bagmati Weekly Express (12578): With stops at Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur, this train will leave Mysore at 10:30 am on select dates during the station redevelopment.
  • Double Decker Express (22626): Departing from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 1:30 pm.
  • Brindavan Express (12640): This train will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 3:10 pm.
