Bengaluru: Major preparations have now begun in all the states for the third wave of possible corona in the country. In fact, in the meantime, Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai has made a statement. In his statement last Saturday, he said, "The State's Haveri district has become the first district in Karnataka to start preparing to fight the possible third wave of corona epidemic.'' In addition, The Minister-in-charge of Haveri, Bommai, also said, "For this, we are conducting screening camps in all public health centers to scan children for any possible illness or malnutrition. These camps will continue till 31st July and 2 in these camps. 7 lakh children will be involved. Apart from general health check-ups, children will also be tested by pediatricians.'' In addition, the Minister also said, "Nutrition kits are being provided to children for malnutrition. They will be re-examined in the next two to three months.''
Giving more details about the campaign, Bommai said, "Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and state health minister Dr. K Sudhakar has appreciated the initiative and plans to implement it across Karnataka. On 28th June, I will inaugurate a camp in Udupi.'' The Union Health Ministry also said last Saturday evening that "3,328 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Karnataka in the last 24 hours. During this period, 114 patients have died and 6,524 patients have recovered from the disease.'' Last Saturday, Bengaluru urban area has reported the highest number of 955 cases and 16 patients have died. At the same time, 1,174 patients recovered.
