Bhojpuri singer Babul Bihari has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl. Babul Bihari had also posted an objectionable photo of the girl on social media. The incident took place in Gurgaon. Police said that two years ago, Babul Bihari lived in Rajiv Nagar area. Where he befriended the 13-year-old girl and lured her to a hotel room. He raped her in the hotel. The criminal had taken her photos and then shared them on social media.

The minor girl did not tell anyone about the incident and distanced herself from the culprit. A senior police officer said that the criminal had shared the girl's photos on Instagram a few days ago. After seeing the photos, the minor's family questioned the girl, after which she told the whole thing. Then on Wednesday, the family approached the police and filed a case.

The police sent the victim for counselling. An FIR was then registered against the offender at the Sector 14 police station in Gurgaon under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology (IT) Act. The police spokesman said that the culprit was arrested within hours of the complaint of the family. He was produced before a court which remanded him in judicial custody. Babul Bihari is 21 years old. He is a resident of Bihar. His real name is Abhishek. He has more than 27 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel.
