The recent rainfall in Rajasthan has a significant impact on several parts of the state. One death was reported in the Pratapgarh district due to the heavy downpour. Shivganj in Sirohi witnessed the highest rainfall of 13 centimeters in the last 24 hours. Other areas also experienced substantial rainfall, with Abu Road in Sirohi receiving 11 centimeters, and Pratapgarh and Dholpur both receiving 9 centimeters. Additionally, Sangod (Kota), Paota, Chomu (Jaipur), and Sumerpur (Pali) recorded 8 centimeters each, while many other areas received rainfall below 8 centimeters, as per the meteorological department.

The weather office has forecast heavy rainfall in several districts of Rajasthan, including Baran, Bharatpur, Bundi, Dholpur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur for Wednesday. In Pratapgarh, a tragic incident occurred as a 35-year-old man drowned in the Karmvachhni River on Monday night. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully recovered the man's body on Tuesday morning, nearly 200 meters away from the spot where he drowned.

Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, the rainfall has caused extensive damage and disruption. Landslides, power outages, road blockages, and bridge damages have been reported. The heavy rain has claimed the lives of 30 individuals, with 11 deaths reported in Shimla alone. The state has also suffered significant infrastructure losses, estimated to be between Rs.3000 crore to Rs.4000 crore.

The adverse weather conditions have led to the stranding of numerous tourists in various parts of the hill state. Over 500 tourists are currently stranded in Chandertal, Pagal Nallah, and other locations in Lahaul and Spiti. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out a successful rescue operation, evacuating 515 stranded laborers from a waterlogged slum in Una district. Among the severely affected districts in Himachal Pradesh, Kullu has witnessed considerable damage. Disturbing visuals depict a truck being carried away by the rapidly flowing waters of the Beas river in the district.
