Shimla: There was a record increase of Rs 16,776 in the last financial year, but this year it is likely to increase only around Rs 5000. Prior to the budget, officials of the statistics department are engaged in its assessment. However, these figures can also vary. The final report of the Economic Survey will be revealed during the budget session starting from 25 February.

In the information received from sources, it has been learned that this time the per capita annual income is expected to be reduced to around 1 lakh 82 thousand rupees. This fact has raised the concern of higher officials before the report came out. In February 2019 also, the report of per capita income was tabled in the Vidhan Sabha during the budget session. According to this report for the financial year 2018-19, the per capita income was estimated at Rs 1,76,978.

It is also being said that earlier in the financial year 2017-18, the per capita income was Rs 1,60,211. In this way, in the financial year 2018-19, this increase was 10% more than the previous financial year. This was a big increase. It has been learned that now in the financial year 2019-20, it is expected to increase to just around five thousand rupees. There is a churn at the government level also due to the possibility of declining income. However, the data is being searched again in this regard.
