May 21, 2016: Surat, two women and the driver of a vehicle were killed and also five others injured in an mishap when they were on their way to contribute in Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv Mela in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on yesterday.

The dead were known as Parmeswari Devi,Pushpa Soni and the driver of the vehicle whose individuality is not yet known. The hurt were Raju Soni, Manisha Soni, Masibal Soni, Somlal Soni and Baby Soni.

On Thursday evening, The Soni family hired a taxi for Ujjain.

A relative aforesaid, “ a tanker rammed into their taxi from rear at a turning near Sakri in Maharashtra, killing the three persons on the spot.”

He said, “Soni family always travelled to Kumbh Mela anywhere it was held. Those injured are out of danger. “

As per the family sources said, “They are being treated in a hospital there. The bodies are being brought to the city”
