Pulwama: In an ongoing –encouter in Pinglin village of Pulwana, Four soldiers- including three jawans and a Major ranking officer have been martyred.

According to reports of Newsagency ANI, The 4 Army personnel belonged to 55 Rashtriya Rifles. One civilian also reportedly lost his life during the operation. A top Jaish-e-Mohammed commander linked to Pulwama attack is believed to be trapped in the ongoing encounter with security forces.As the area has been cordoned off and the operation is being carried out by a joint team consisting of 55 Rashtriya Rifles, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

As per reports, Two-three terrorists have been cornered in the encounter between terrorists and security forces in Pinglan area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir. The encounter has been underway for almost four hours and more details regarding the operation are awaited.

The terrorists reportedly belongs to Jaish e Mohammed who took the reposibilty of  February 14 suicide attack, in which the JeM terrorist killed 40 CRPF men, the government suspended the security provided to five separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir.

After the attack on 14 Feb,Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Army has been given a free hand to avenge the killings of our security forces.
