Three people detained for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Bengal

On Saturday, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, known for her fiery temper, lost her cool with a group of boys who chanted Jai Shree Ram when her cavalcade was passing.  The incident was reported in Radhaballabhpur and Mamata stepped out of her vehicle and dared the people to come back but they had fled from the spot by then.

Meanwhile, the TMC is blaming the BJP for trying to malign Banerjee’s image. Banerjee was on her way to Chandrakona for campaigning when the incident happened.

A video of the incident showed Banerjee losing her cool.In the video, which has gone viral on social media, Mamata Banerjee is seen angrily coming out of her car and saying," Palachish keno, aye, aye, Palachish keno, aye aye".  She further went on to say," Haridas Pal,...galagali diche". It loosely translates to, "Why are you running away, come, come. Why are you running away, come here?”

Meanwhile, the West Bengal CM accused the BJP of spending extensively on election campaign rallies and public meetings. She also accused the saffron party of spending crores of rupees on every public meeting and added that agencies were hired to bring crowds to PM Modi’s rallies in lieu of money. "Look at the money spent by the BJP for campaigning. In future, democracy will be in danger if this continues," she had said.
