Agartala: During a corona examination at a government hospital in Tripura's capital Agartala on Wednesday, a 3-day-old child died shortly after taking a sample from his nose. The state government has ordered an inquiry into this incident on Thursday. At Agartala Government Medical College Hospital, a woman infected with a corona infection gave birth to this newborn. The doctors had decided to examine the corona of the child. In this regard, Tripura Health Services Director Subhashish Debbarma said, "A departmental inquiry has been ordered."

A 3-member team formed to investigate this case has been asked to submit a report in 3 days. "The mother of the child, Papia Pal Saha, said that her son was well before taking a sample from his nose for Corona on Wednesday and he died shortly thereafter.

In this regard, he further said, "I told the doctors that there is a lot of bleeding from his nose." He assured me that he would get well but my child died before my eyes. "Additional Chief Secretary in-charge of Health Department, SK Rakesh said," The infant may not have died due to sampling. We are awaiting final testing. "Earlier on August 2, a 2-day-old girl died of corona in this hospital.
