Tibetan Speaker condoles demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav

Dharamshala: The Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel today extended his heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of former Defense Minister of India Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, who breathed his last at the age of 82.

The former defence minister of India, Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away today at the age of 82. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, sent his deepest condolences.

"I am heartbroken to learn the demise of your beloved father Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji, former Defense Minister, former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and the founder-patron of the Samajwadi Party," the Speaker said in a letter to his son Shri Akhilesh Yadav, a member of the Lok Sabha.

"Tibetan Parliamentary Delegation had the honour of meeting your dear father in December 2017," he said. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shri Mulayam Ji on behalf of the Tibetan people for his continuous concern and support for the Tibetan struggle and for regularly bringing up the subject of Tibet in the Indian Parliament. Adhering to his excellent ideals and values would be the finest approach to preserve his memory.

"Please accept my sincere condolences on behalf of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and the Tibetan People. The Speaker said, "May the Almighty provide you the fortitude within to withstand this enormous loss and grief at this trying time.
