Tirupati: The country has completed vaccination of 100 crore doses, now in order to increase the vaccination drive and achieve 100% vaccination in the targeted groups, the government has launched two mobile vehicles named 'Tika Express' in Chittoor district along with other districts. sent it. These vehicles will initially focus on remote areas where the vaccination campaign has shown poor response. Mobile vehicle teams will try to motivate people and give them a shot.

Officials are faced with an uphill task in meeting the vaccination targets. With a majority of people already vaccinated, the process has now slowed down, and it has become difficult to vaccinate around 60,000 doses in a single day, as against over 1.50 lakh doses earlier. Since vaccination is the only weapon for TB, District Collector M Hari Narayanan has asked officials to see that vaccination teams go door-to-door to trace the survivors.

Tirupati Municipal Commissioner PS Girisha also asked those who are unwilling to get the shot citing various health reasons, to produce medical certificates saying that they should not get the vaccine. He clarified that everyone should be vaccinated at any cost. Unlike in the past, immunization drives are now underway at around 150 centers every day, where both Covishield and Covaxin are available. Both doctors and officials have been saying that people should come voluntarily to get their shots to protect themselves from the virus.
