The police have confined four persons in matter with the murder of dalit youth V. Sankar who was 22 year old. The accused were taken to the Udumalpet police station on Sunday.
Police sources said the four persons, Jegadeesan, Selvakumar, Manikantan and Madan, were friends of Chinnasamy (39), Kausalya's father. However, sources said no arrest was recorded by officials till now.
A gang attacked to Sankar and his wife Kausalya belongs to the Thevar Community on Sunday. While Shankar died and Kausalya is being injured and reated at a Coimbatore hospital.
