Kolkata: Amid the controversy over the poster of a documentary film 'Kaali', TMC MP Mahua Moitra's statement has come out. Defending the poster of the documentary film 'Kaali', Mahua Moitra said, "There are many forms of Kaali Maa. To me, Kaali means a meat lover and a goddess who accepts alcohol. People have different opinions, I have no problem with that.''

Mahua Moitra said, "How do you see your God?" If you go to Bhutan and Sikkim, whisky is offered to God in the morning puja, but if you give the same to someone in UP in prasad, then his sentiments can be hurt. To me, Goddess Kali is a meat-eating and drinking goddess. There are many forms of Goddess Kali.

She said "If you go to Tarapith, you will find sadhus smoking near the temple of Maa Kali. And people worship such Kali Maa. Being a Hindu, I have the freedom to see my Kali according to me and people should have it. You should have the freedom to worship your God according to yourself. The right to worship should remain in the personal space. Unless I am interfering in your area. I don't think it should be freedom. I have no problem with this form of Maa Kali.'' In fact, a poster of the documentary film 'Kali' is going viral on social media. It showed mother Kali smoking a cigarette. Along with this, the Satranga flag of the LGBT community is also visible in one of his hands. The documentary is by filmmaker Leena Manimekalai.
