New Delhi: The action of municipal corporations against illegal constructions in the country's capital Delhi continues unabated. The anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests are also likely to start the exercise to remove encroachments in the Shaheen Bagh area from today. On the demand of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SMCD), the Delhi Police has also said today that it will provide a large number of forces to the Municipal Corporation to remove encroachments in the Shaheen Bagh area.
Earlier, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation could not get the police force to take action on the encroachments, due to which the bulldozers' action was postponed to May 8. SMCD Central Zone Standing Committee chief Rajpal has said that the municipal corporation will do its job. Our workers and officers are fully prepared, and teams and bulldozers have been deployed. He said that encroachments will be removed from Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar, New Friends Colony or Shaheen Bagh wherever illegal encroachments have been committed.
Let us know that, the bulldozer of the South Corporation has been continuously taking action against illegal constructions and encroachments since May 4. So far, illegal encroachments have been removed from areas like Tughlakabad, Kalindi Kunj Main Road, Kalindi Kunj Marg etc. As per the plan of the corporation, action will be taken against the illegal construction in Shaheen Bagh today i.e. on May 9.
