The Indian men's hockey team, which has been waiting for medals for four decades, looking forward for Tokyo Olympics 2021. The men's hockey team will begin their Olympic campaign against New Zealand on the twenty-fourth day of July. It is now a year, but from now on, all the players of the hockey team should have their eyes on winning the Tokyo Olympic medal. Players have also joined the preparations for the Olympics 2021.

Not only this, on 24 July 2021, but India's women's hockey team will also play its first match against the Netherlands. The 8-time champions have been placed in Group A along with Australia, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand and hosts Japan, while Group B consists of Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Canada and South Africa. The Indian men's hockey team has to play from Australia on twenty five July, Spain on twenty-seven July, last time champions Argentina on 29 July and Japan on 30 July.

The country is placed in Pool A with the Netherlands, Germany, Britain, Ireland and South Africa. At the same time, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Spain, China and Japan have been placed in Pool B. The women's team is scheduled to play against Germany, Britain, Argentina and Japan after playing against the Netherlands on July 24. The Olympic Program Committee has also selected 48 places for the Olympic Games.
