Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain won against Nadine Apetz of Germany in Preliminaries Round of 16 bouts in women's Welter (64-69kg) event and reserved a spot in the quarterfinal. Indian shooters disappointed the 1.2 billion natives yet again as pairs of Elavenil Valarivan/Divyansh Singh Panwar and Anjum Moudgil/Deepak Kumar failed to qualify for Qualification Stage 2.
