On Friday, several top BJP leaders were arrested after the party cadre called 'Chalo Amalapuram' to protest the burning of the chariot of the Antarvasna Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple and attacks on Hindu temples.
According to information from the leading news, the police tightened the ban orders in Amalapuram and set up barricades to prevent protesters from entering the Konaseema area. BJP state president Somu Veeraraju, former president Kanna Lakshminarayana and former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeshwari were placed under house arrest while former state ministers Ravela Kishore Babu and Adinarayana Reddy were placed on the way to Amalapuram.
In Nutshell, Several other BJP leaders condemned the arrest on religious norms. BJP MLC PVN Madhav condemned the arrests for arrests in the Hindu temple attack case, but many workers who protested peacefully were being detained by the police.
