Tragic Cylinder Blast Destroys Two-Storey House in Lucknow, 4 injured

Lucknow: A tragic incident unfolded in Ghazi Mandi, Lucknow, as a two-storey house collapsed due to a cylinder blast during cooking on Sunday morning. The blast occurred around 11:15 AM while Pinky Kashyap, wife of Suresh, was cooking in the kitchen. The explosion, caused by a gas cylinder leak, trapped four family members, including Rajkumar Kashyap, Pinky, their one-year-old daughter Vidisha, and Jagdish Kashyap, under the debris.

Neighbors rushed to help upon hearing the blast and managed to rescue the trapped family members from the rubble. However, the house was completely destroyed. Rajkumar, Pinky, Vidisha, and Jagdish sustained injuries in the incident and were rushed to the hospital. Three of them were admitted to a private hospital, while one was taken to KGMU Trauma Centre for treatment.

Upon receiving the information, two vehicles from Chowk Fire Station reached the site to aid in the rescue efforts. Initial investigations revealed that the blast occurred due to a gas cylinder leakage. The incident has left the neighborhood shocked and underlines the importance of safety measures while handling gas cylinders.
