Jaipur: A tragic incident occurred in Bassi, Jaipur, on Saturday as a massive fire engulfed a chemical factory, resulting in the loss of five lives and leaving two individuals injured. The intensity of the blaze prompted the deployment of nine fire tenders to the scene, as confirmed by DCP (East) Kavendra Singh Sagar.

Devendra Kumar, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bassi, revealed concerning details about the factory, indicating that it operated illegally and lacked the presence of the owner during the catastrophic event. Additionally, the hazardous nature of the situation was compounded by the presence of numerous chemical drums whose contents remain unidentified.

The absence of proper regulation and oversight in managing such facilities raises significant concerns regarding public safety and underscores the importance of enforcing stringent regulations to prevent such tragedies. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the fire and hold those responsible accountable for their negligence.

As the community mourns the loss of lives and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured, there is a pressing need for stringent measures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and workers in industrial areas. Efforts to enhance safety protocols and enforce compliance with regulations are imperative to prevent similar incidents in the future.
