Another major accident in J&K, 2 died in cemetery wall collapse

Jammu: The debris behind the under-construction wall of the cemetery at Jeevannagar near Rihari Colony collapsed around 3 pm last day. Two persons died on the spot while two women were seriously injured in the debris collapse. The bodies have been sent to GMC Hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, the injured are being treated in GMC. The condition of both of them is said to be critical.

Where it has been found that as soon as the wall collapsed, there was no chance of escaping. A crowd of people gathered around when other workers screamed. Police and ambulances were immediately called in. People first removed the debris and pulled out the injured. Meanwhile, two persons lost their lives on the spot. They were bleeding from their heads. Raman Gupta's son Jagdish Gupta (46) resident Bharat Nagat Talab Tilo Jammu and Monika Devi wife Tek Chand (35) Chhattisgarh lost their lives on the spot and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.

Sukriti Daughter Dalip (18) Resident Chhattisgarh Presently Patoli Jammu and Shriti Wife Daljit (26) Resident Chhattisgarh Patoli was injured. The condition of the injured is stable. Police have registered a case and started further investigation. Senior officials from the police department rushed to see the spot late in the evening.
