New Delhi: Congress former president and senior leader Rahul Gandhi has got a big relief from the court. The court verdict has been deferred once again on the complaint of treason against him for the controversial statement made against PM Modi. The court fixed the verdict on October 18. Even before this, the decision has been postponed to 20 August. By filing a complaint against Congress MP from Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi, a lawyer had said that Rahul has defamed him by giving a statement of blood tapping against the PM.
Rahul made this statement targeting PM Modi at the 2016 Kisan rally held at Jantar-Mantar. In this case, the Delhi Police has given a clean chit to Rahul Gandhi by presenting a status report on 15 May. ACMM Summer Vishal of Rouse Avenue Court fixed the date for October 18 to pronounce a verdict on the complaint presented.
The court reserved its verdict on the complaint on 22 May after hearing the complainant's arguments and considering the Delhi Police report. Police Parliament Street police station presented its status report and said that no criminal case is made against Rahul Gandhi. The same person ie PM Modi can file a defamation complaint against him. The petitioner has accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting the soldiers involved in the surgical strike.
