Kolkata: Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah visited Bengal on Thursday. During this time, he visited the tribal-dominated Bankura and saw the statue of freedom fighter Birsa Munda. During this, he also offered flowers to the idol, but now a big controversy has arisen over this. It happened that the statue that Amit Shah was going to offer flowers earlier was that of another tribal leader in place of Birsa Munda. Seeing his mistake, the leaders present at the venue stopped him and put a picture of Birsa Munda under the feet of the idol and garlanded it.

Seeing all this, the ruling party of West Bengal Trinamool Congress has targeted Amit Shah. However, Shah tweeted the pictures of the event and wrote in the caption, "Today, I laid a wreath to the famous tribal leader Lord Birsa Munda Ji in Bankura, West Bengal. Birsa Munda's life was dedicated to the rights and upliftment of our tribal sisters and brothers. Their courage, struggle and sacrifice will continue to inspire all of us. "
Seeing this, TMC said, 'Union Home Minister Amit Shah is so ignorant of the culture of Bengal that he humiliated Lord Birsa Munda by garlanding a wrong idol and putting his picture in someone else's feet. Will he ever respect Bengal? ' After knowing this, the tribal organization- Bharat Zakat Majhi Pargana Mahal has also expressed anger.
