The IPFT's Mever Kumar Jamatia was dropped from the Saha-led cabinet. Sushanta Chowdhury, immediately after being sworn in as a cabinet minister, stated that the new cabinet would follow the "unfulfilled goals of former CM Biplab Kumar Deb."
