Agartala: A video of the West Tripura DM is fast going viral on social media in which he is raiding a wedding hall where corona rules are being flouted. In this video, DM Shailesh Yadav is seen in a very angry voice and reprimanding the policemen in the hall.

In the video, the DM directed the policemen to take the entire crowd, including the bride and groom, out of the hall and also to arrest all the people. District Collector Shailesh Yadav said that a case should be registered against these people under the Night Curfew and Epidemic Disaster Act. Not only that, DM Yadav accused the policemen present there and said that they are not cooperating with the administration. In the video, Shailesh Yadav is seen saying that he will complain to the government in charge of Agartala police station before the government and recommend suspending him.

People started questioning the DM's attitude after the video went viral on social media. Commenting on the video, users condemned the DM's stand and said that the administration sees only the common people for action, not leaders. On Tuesday, DM Shailesh Yadav apologized for stopping the marriage saying his intention was not to hurt anyone's sentiments. Meanwhile, CM Biplab Kumar Dev has asked chief secretary Manoj Kumar to summon a report on the incident.
