Agartala, On august 22, Tripura government would felicitate, Gymnast Dipa Karmakar, who missed the medal in the Rio Olympics by a whisker.
Director of Youth and Sports Affairs Dulal Das said, "Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Youth and Sports Affairs minister Sahid Choudhuri would felicitate Dipa Karmakar and her coach Bishweshwar Nandi on August 22 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan here".
Mantu Debnath, a famed gymnast of the state and Arjun awardee along with other sports personalities of the state will be present in the felicitation programme.
