New Delhi: A bench of five judges of the Supreme Court was not able to pronounce the judgment on the review petition filed against the entry of women in the famous Sabarimala temple in Kerala. Now this matter has been handed over to the big bench. Now the bench of 7 justices will hear this case. On Thursday, a five-judge bench has referred the matter to a larger bench with a 3: 2 decision. Reading the verdict on the Sabarimala issue, the apex court said that this case will not only affect this temple but also the entry of women in mosques, the entry of Parsi women in Agari.

At the same time, Bhoomata Brigade chief Trupti Desai has said that, now the time has come to replace the old customs. It is unconstitutional to ban the entry of women, cannot continue the wrong tradition. It is a matter of women's rights. We will not accept the method of patriarchy in the 21st century. Significantly, the High Court had allowed the entry of women.

Subsequently, the apex court upheld the decision of 28 September 2018, continued the entry of women into the Sabarimala temple and categorically refused to grant a stay on it. However, on the review petition filed against this decision, the Supreme Court has today handed over this case to a larger bench. At the same time, according to the old court ruling in the temple, the entry of women will continue.
