Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday attacked the BJP saying that he should not try to intimidate or threaten them and let the Shiv Sena choose its political path. Raut said in the media, "We are ready to fight and die, but will not tolerate intimidation or coercion tactics." Sanjay Raut was referring to the comments of BJP national president Amit Shah on the formula of power-sharing behind closed doors before the last Lok Sabha elections.

Sanjay Raut said, "I heard that PM Modi says that Devendra Fadnavis will be the next CM of Maharashtra. Even the Shiv Sena is repeating again and again that their CM will take oath." At the same time, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had said that with the post of CM, there was talk of 50:50 power-sharing. However, Shah and Fadnavis have denied this and accused Thackeray of breaking the alliance with the BJP by calling him a liar.

Sanjay Raut said, "Why did you not inform PM Modi about the decisions taken behind closed doors? Why have you been silent so far to deny the partnership till the election results come?" He said that BJP always refuses to bring the decisions taken behind closed doors to the people, but if they had fulfilled their words and promises, then the matter would never come to light.
