Tungnath temple's portals close today for winter months in U’Khand

Uttarakhand: According to the Chardham Devsthanam Board, the Tungnath temple's portals will be closed today for the winter season. "The Tritiya (third) Kedar Shri Tungnath Temple and the Dwitiya (second) Kedar Shri Madmaheshwar Temple will close for the winter on October 30 and November 22, respectively. On November 25, the Shri Madmaheshwar Fair will be held "On October 22, Dr. Harish Gaur, a member of the Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board, stated.

On November 5, the Shri Gangotri Dham, Shri Kedarnath Dham, and Shri Yamunotri Dham will close their doors, while the Shri Badrinath Dham will close on November 20.

After the Nainital High Court lifted the ban on Chardham Yatra on September 16, only fully Covid vaccinated people with a mandatory COVID-19 negative report were allowed to participate in the annual pilgrimage. Every year, lakhs of tourists and devotees travel from all over the country and abroad to participate in this yatra.
