Srinagar:The Twitter has closed the account of Aarti Tikku, founder and editor-in-chief of the media body The New Indian. In fact, Aarti's only mistake was that she had tweeted about her brother Sahil Tikku that her brother's life in Srinagar was in danger. That is why Twitter had also banned Tikku's account and pressured him to delete his tweet.

Tell us that this is not the new case of Twitter defending and protecting the Left and those with radical Islamic ideology. Twitter deletes tweets, sometimes entire accounts, from right-wing and Hindu-minded people. Twitter has just done something similar with Aarti Tikku. Aarti Tikku wrote in a tweet on December 15, 2021 that "his brother Sahil Tikku, who lives in Srinagar, is being threatened by some jihadist terrorists in Kashmir. These people are also associated with Pakistan. Is there anyone in UK and US who is watching this? Are we silently made to sit and die from the bullet of Islamic terrorists or will anyone take action against them?'
Aarti's tweet was put in the category of 'hateful conduct' by Twitter. Twitter also pressured senior journalist Aarti to delete her tweet and banned her account indefinitely. It was on Twitter that many people came out in support of Aarti and took a dig at the Twitter on the issue. Scientist Anand Ranganathan tweeted in this regard and wrote, 'This is derogatory and unacceptable. Twitter has indefinitely blocked journalist Aarti Tikku's account. Just for a tweet in which she describes her brother's life as receiving threats from terrorists. Is Twitter stupid? Aarti should be unblocked now and at the same time. Aarti's account is currently running but it has been deleted in atweet.
