Twitter's anti-India mentality exposed again, many popular nationalist handles suspended

New Delhi: Micro-blogging platform Twitter has once again expressed its anti-India mindset by taking action against nationalist accounts. On Thursday (February 24, 2022), Twitter has suspended several popular Twitter handles, taking unilateral action, alleging alleged violations of policies. One of the handles that Twitter has acted on is The Benefiting Facts (@BefittingFacts). Let me tell you that, this handle is a popular Twitter handle that checked facts. Suspending it, Twitter said it had violated its policy using multiple accounts.

According to OpIndia's report, after twitter's arbitrary action, the benefiting facts have told them that Twitter is asking for information about many of its accounts, but they have only one account. Similarly, Twitter has also taken action on another popular account named 'The Skin Doctor' (@theskindoctor13). Twitter has also accused it of violating the company's rules. Another Twitter handles 'The Angry Lord' has also been suspended. Not only this, but Twitter also accused the famous news and current affairs Twitter account 'Cloud Bulletin' of violating the rules and also suspended its handle while taking action.

However, the point to note here is that the policy violation that Twitter is talking about did not say why these nationalist handles were suspended. Twitter is accused of deliberately and arbitrarily taking action against nationalist and right-wing accounts, while Twitter does not take any action against them even after the Left and fundamentalists have committed serious crimes like docking and intimidation.

The voice of the Hindus who have suffered in Bangladesh violence was also suppressed:-

When the administration or the mainstream media is not raising its voice for you, or showing the oppression being meted out to you, then in today's time, social media is used as a weapon, so that you can put the atrocities happening to you in front of the world and expect help from anywhere. The Hindus of Bangladesh did the same. In 2021, when Hindus were attacked in Bangladesh, their houses were burnt, murdered, their women were brutally raped during Durga Puja, the media remained silent. So ISKCON Bangladesh and Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council started telling the world the pictures of the victims Hindus from their Twitter handle, but Twitter suspended the accounts of both of them. On the other hand, Twitter had flatly refused to suspend the accounts of the leaders of the Taliban, the terrorist organization that killed thousands of people in Afghanistan. While the same Twitter has suspended Kangana Ranaut's account over inflammatory statements.

Aarti Tikku's account was also suspended:-

Aarti's only mistake was that she had tweeted about her brother Sahil Tikku that the life of her brother living in Srinagar was under threat from terrorists, for which she had sought help on Twitter. But Twitter had also banned Tikku's account and pressured her to delete her tweet. After this, Aarti Tikku had approached the Delhi High Court against twitter's suspension of her account. She had filed a petition seeking quashing of Twitter's decision. In it, she has said that her rights under the Constitution have been violated.
