NEW DELHI: The visiting Australian delegation, led by Education Minister Mr. Jason Clare, participated in student engagement programmes and met at a high level with the Indian delegation, led by Union Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Two Australian universities will open campuses in Gujarat GIFT CITY of New Delhi. Discussions between the two parties focused on ways to strengthen their partnership in the areas of secondary, postsecondary, and vocational education.

From February 28 to March 4, an Australian group led by Jason Clare will be in India for five days. The major objective of the visit is to fortify links between the two countries in the area of education.

They talked on fostering relationships with young people's empowerment in both countries and a more active education and skills sector. The two Ministers made a point of highlighting their dedication to increasing institutional collaboration and two-way mobility by looking into the delivery of transnational education in the higher education, skills, and research sectors. Mr. Jason Clare, the Australian Minister of Education, will spend five days in India from February 28 to March 4 of 2023 to strengthen ties between the two nations in the field of education.

The education opportunities brought about by the bilateral pacts and agreements will enable students from both countries to learn and experience new things in a variety of cultural contexts, as well as to uphold the value of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," or "One Earth, One Family, and One Future," said the Union Minister Pradhan.

Two Australian universities want to open campuses in Gujarat's GIFT City to expand the choices available to students who want to attend overseas universities. Also, the two countries are laying the groundwork for mutual recognition of educational programmes.

Deakin University and Wollongong University are the two universities that are planning to establish campuses in Gujarat. These will be the city's first two international universities to establish campuses.

According to Australian Minister Jason Clare, the Australian and Indian governments will soon sign ten memorandums of understanding (MoUs) that would pave the way for the establishment of a system for the mutual recognition of professions.
