Shimla: Today, the story of increasing crime and incidents has increased so much today that people are just afraid of whether it is safe to live in their own home even today. Heavy rains and snowfall in Himachal resulted in the collapse of two houses, and the roofs of 52 houses were blown off due to darkness. In Kullu district, 250 electric transformers have come to a standstill. Rohtang received a record 90 cm of snow during one day during March. The historic Banni Mata temple with nine houses in Chamba is under threat. The temple has been damaged due to lightning in Badsar. Crops have suffered heavy losses due to hailstorm and hail. The Meteorological Center, Shimla has predicted bad weather till March 19. There was rain and hail in the capital Shimla. The risk of snowfall in Lahaul has increased.

The storm caused lightning in many areas overnight. Electrical wires were damaged by falling trees. There are about 250 transformers in the district, roofs of more than 40 houses, schools and shops have been damaged. The roof of the kitchen shed of Khadgancha Primary School of Raila Panchayat of Sainz Valley blew up. Sainz-Ani-Auth NH 305 is blocked for traffic. More than a dozen houses, school buildings and gaushalas have been damaged in the Rampur subdivision's Sarpara and Ganavi Panchayats.

It is also being said that Rohdu-Rampur road has also been blocked. In the higher peaks of Kinnaur, there is 10 to 20 cm of fresh snow. Due to snowfall in Chamba, the movement of vehicles stopped due to landslides on about two dozen routes in the district. A two-storey slate-house house collapsed in Garola. The historic Banni Mata temple, including five houses in Kohli, Chamba, has been threatened. The Chamba-Jot and Khajjiar-Lakkamandi road is at a standstill. The two-storey house in Kadohta subdivision Bhoranj was demolished.
