Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran has received an Honorary Knighthood from the United Kingdom for strengthening business ties between India and the UK. The Tata Group announced this on Friday. He was honored with "The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Civil Division) - honorary DBE/KBE."
In a post on X, the group shared that King Charles awarded Chandrasekaran this special recognition for his contribution to UK-India business relations.
Chandrasekaran expressed his pride in Tata Group’s strong relationship with the UK across various industries, including technology, consumer goods, hospitality, steel, chemicals, and automobiles.

He also highlighted the importance of Tata’s British brands like Jaguar Land Rover and Tetley, mentioning that the company employs over 70,000 people in the UK.
Tata Group also collaborates with top UK universities such as Oxford, the London School of Economics, Warwick, and Swansea for research and academic partnerships.
Chandrasekaran thanked the UK government for its continuous support and said he looks forward to strengthening Tata’s presence in the country even further.
