London: A Metropolitan Police officer finds themselves suspended and under investigation following allegations of passing sensitive information to the Algerian Embassy. 

The accusations involve sharing details of a criminal investigation with an Algerian national who was the subject of police inquiry. The Algerian individual, currently in custody in Algeria, has claimed that the officer shared investigation-related information with their lawyers in Algeria. 

This development not only carries serious implications for the officer in question but also raises concerns about the potential impact on the reputation of the Metropolitan Police.
