LONDON: On Thursday, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will declare that his country will deliver 6,000 more missiles to Ukraine, marking a month since Russia's continuing war began. According to the BBC, Johnson will make the news at the NATO and G7 leaders' summits in Brussels.
Apart from the extra missiles, Johnson will announce a financing package worth 25 million pounds (USD33 million) to help pay Ukrainian soldiers and pilots.
""One month into this crisis, the international community confronts a decision," Prime Minister David Cameron told the BBC.”The UK will cooperate with our partners to scale up military and economic support to Ukraine, strengthening their defences as they turn the tide in this war." We can either keep the candle of freedom burning in Ukraine or risk having it extinguished across Europe and the rest of the world." According to authorities, the fresh cargo would be added to the 4,000 missiles that the UK has previously given to Ukrainian forces.
The new financing comes on top of the 400 million pounds already pledged in humanitarian and economic relief, according to the authorities.
