GENEVA – Ukraine is suffering from dangerously low medical oxygen supplies as a result of Russia's military invasion, and might run out within 24 hours, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Patients experiencing health difficulties resulting from pregnancy, childbirth, chronic diseases, sepsis, and traumas and trauma, including those with Covid-19, require life-saving medicinal oxygen supplies. According to the WHO, some 1,700 persons in the country are infected with Covid.

The country has been plagued by low oxygen supplies as a result of the Russian invasion, which began on February 24. Trucks are unable to transfer oxygen supplies from factories to hospitals throughout the country, according to the WHO, including the capital Kiev, which is under Russian attack.

In a joint statement, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Regional Director for Europe Dr Hans Henri P. Kluge remarked, "The oxygen supply situation in Ukraine is approaching a very critical point."

Thousands of lives are at stake as a result of this "They also added. They also mentioned that medical oxygen generator makers in a number of places are experiencing zeolite shortages, a critical, mostly imported chemical component required to create safe medical oxygen.
