Ukraine: Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's foreign minister has denied claims that Kiev is planning a military invasion in the conflict-torn Donbas area. Ukraine continues to make strenuous efforts to resurrect the Normandy framework as a means of resolving the crisis in the Luhansk and Donetsk areas, collectively known as Donbas, according to Kuleba.

"Let me clarify unequivocally that Ukraine has no plans to launch a military offensive in the Donbass. We are committed to resolving the problem through political and diplomatic means "On Twitter, Kuleba stated.

According to Russian media sources, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated on Sunday that Ukraine is likely seeking a military solution to the crisis in Donbas in comments broadcast on the "Russia 1" TV channel. The conflict in Donbas began in April 2014, when government forces launched offensives to retake cities and towns taken by armed groups seeking independence from Kiev. A total of 14,000 people have died and 40,000 have been injured as a result of the conflict.

The Normandy format, also known as the Normandy contact group, is a four-party diplomatic group formed to discuss the Donbas dispute. It includes Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and France.
