New Delhi: The talks between farmers and the government agitating over the new Kisan Bill in Delhi have been inconclusive. Punjab BJP is being seen as a bechenan due to no solution being found so far. In fact, recently, senior BJP leader and former national vice president of the party Lakshmi Kanta Chawla has made a statement. "The agitation should not be allowed to continue for such a long time and if the prime Minister wants, he can solve it in a day," she says.

In fact, talking to a website, she said, "Not as a leader of BJP, as a citizen of India, I think no protest should go on so long. The solution should have been found at the earliest. In December, when the number of farmers who died due to cold or suicide had reached 30, I also wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if the agriculture Minister is not able to resolve the issue, the PM should take up the matter.''

At the same time, she also said, "even after such a long run, the farmers have set an example before the world to keep the demonstration peaceful." She further said, "Farmers are not 100 per cent wrong nor agricultural laws. The Prime Minister himself should sit with the farmers and find a solution. I think, if the prime Minister wants, he can solve it in a day."
