New Delhi: Cases of corona infection in Kerala and Maharashtra are not showing any decline. In fact, this is why the Union Health Ministry is now shocked and upset. The second wave of corona in other states of the country continued to subside at the same pace as it spread. In these two states, for the last three weeks, new cases have been between 8,000 and 15,000 per day. However, the Health Ministry is now considering conducting scientific studies in these two States to ascertain the root cause.

In fact, recently, a senior health ministry official said, "More than 52 per cent of new corona cases are coming from Kerala and Maharashtra every day across the country. Moreover, about half of the daily deaths due to corona are taking place in Maharashtra. The corona infection rate has declined considerably across the country. In 66 districts of the country, the infection rate has been reduced to more than 10 per cent. These include eight districts in Kerala and two districts in Maharashtra."

The official also said, "The reasons for non-reduction of infection in both the states are being ascertained. A team of experts will soon be sent to both the states to look for scientific reasons for more infections if required." Dr. N K Arora recently tried to find out the reason why the new cases were more than the Kerala authorities.

In fact, Kerala authorities said, "The sero survey conducted by them still found antibody among 20 per cent of the people." This means that 80 per cent of the population still remains at risk of being infected. According to Kerala authorities, due to high awareness in the state, corona behaviour like physical distance, masks and cleanliness is followed properly and that is why most of the people are still left out of it, which are slowly getting infected.
