New Delhi: Union Ministers expressed greetings on the 74th Republic Day on Thursday and paid respect to the Constitution-makers and warriors who dedicated their lives to the country's security.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, took to Twitter and said, "Hearty greetings to all citizens on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day. Today, I salute all freedom fighters, constitution writers, and valiant soldiers committed to liberating, strengthening, and protecting the country."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the event is an opportunity for the Indians to re-dedicate themselves to the resolve to build a new India.

"Happy Republic Day to all citizens. This day provides a chance for all Indians to strengthen the country's constitutional traditions and renew their commitment to building a new India. Salute to all Indian constitution makers and liberation fighters "Rajnath posted a tweet.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur called for the commitment to building 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. "Best greetings on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day. This event serves as a condensed reflection of the Indian Constitution, encompassing the gorgeous landscape of our varied experiences, excellent democratic principles, and historical heritage. Let us pledge to establish Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat during this Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav "Thakur Tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier today conveyed greetings to the country on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day. "Many greetings on Republic Day. This year's celebration is even more spectacular because it coincides with the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. I hope we can work together to realise the dreams of the country's heroic liberation fighters. All fellow Indians, Happy Republic Day!" PM Modi stated in a Hindi tweet.

The Prime Minister will begin the day's celebrations by paying tribute to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial, where he will lead the nation in doing so. Seven troops from each military will comprise the Inter-Services Guards. Following that, the Prime Minister and other dignitaries will proceed to the saluting dais on Kartavya Path to observe the parade.

This year's Republic Day festivities will highlight the country's military superiority, cultural diversity, and a variety of other noteworthy projects. Building on last year's celebrations, the 75th year of Independence, known as 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,' will be marked by energy, enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and 'Jan Bhagidari,' as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
