New Delhi: Parth Kothekar, a Gujarat-based artist, has created an exquisitely hand-cut paper artwork to portray Google Doodle in honour of India's 74th Republic Day.

The artwork depicts many aspects of the Republic Day parade, including the Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marching troop, and motorbike riders.

India gained its freedom from the British Empire in 1947 and began drafting its Constitution soon after.

The India Constituent Assembly took 2 years to discuss, modify, and approve the governing document, and on adoptrion, India became the country with the longest Constitution.

The passage of this declaration cleared the stage for democracy and gave Indian residents the ability to vote for their own leaders.
To commemorate the national holiday, different parades are held throughout the country, with the largest taking place at Kartavya Path, a ceremonial boulevard in New Delhi.

Following a wreath-laying ceremony to remember dead troops, regiments of India's armed services and tableaus reflecting cultural and historical heritage march down the street.

the Beating Retreat ceremony takes place on the evening of January 29 To conclude the festivities. The saffron, white, and green Indian flag is flown as the Indian National Anthem plays.
