Mandla: There has been political turmoil in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. The results of the three-tier panchayat elections were announced here on Friday. 23-year-old Lalita Gondwana defeated Priya Dhurve, sister of Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, by a margin of 3,900 votes from Zila panchayat seat number 16. In this seat, minister Kulaste could not win his sister even if he wanted to. Lalita Gondwana contested the elections with the support of the Gantantra Party and the people also gave her full blessings.

It may be recalled that Lalita, the youngest Zila panchayat member in the district, was studying engineering. She left her studies and entered the election and won. After winning, Lalita of the tribal community said that she had fought only to win the elections. She wants to serve the rural people and society by winning. Lalita said, "I have seen how the villagers plead in front of the people's representatives for their small works. Despite this, the people's work does not completed. They get troubled by making a round. Seeing all this, she landed in the election battle.

Let me tell you that in the three-tier panchayat election here, only those who were expected to win won. On Thursday, the administration tabulated the votes for the Zila panchayat elections at the district level. On Friday, the results were declared by the District Election Officer at the Eklavya Vidyalaya campus, Semerkhapa and certificates were given to the winning candidates.
