Unlock-5 in India from October 1, government can issue guidelines today

New Delhi: Unlock-4 will expire in the country on September 30. Several restrictions were relaxed from 1 to 30 September 2020 under Unlock-4 imposed to prevent corona infection. Metro services, schools from class 9 to 12 were allowed to be partially opened. Now, Unlock-5 is going to start in the country from October 1.

The central government can issue guidelines today regarding the concession given under Unlock-5. Cinemas across the country have been closed since the lockdown came into force on 25 March. From October 1, the central government may allow the opening of cinema halls of the entire country with caution. However, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has given permission to start all cinema halls in the state from October 1.

The tourism sector has been badly affected in the lockdown. Recently some tourist places including the Taj Mahal were opened. Under Unlock-5, the Ministry of Home Affairs can allow the tourists to open the remaining tourist places. However, the Uttarakhand government has allowed travelers to enter the state without any quarantine. At the same time, it is believed that such orders can be issued by other states as well.
