Lucknow: The family of the Unnao rape victim, seeking justice, sat on a dharna near her grave. At the same time, the family of the victim says that CM Yogi Adityanath did not even come to meet him. The relatives warned the policemen present there to take out the dead body. The police and administrative officials who reached the spot explained to the aggrieved side that it is a crime to remove the body without the permission of the District Magistrate and sent them back. The family members of the victim, who are constantly demanding justice, said that they are neither getting justice nor they are being introduced to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On Wednesday afternoon, the family members of the victim sat on a tomb in a field 2-3 km away from the village and staged a sit-in. The police allege that the family wanted to dig the grave and take out the dead body.

SDM and other police officers of Bighapur tehsil came on the spot. According to Vikas Kumar Pandey, SHO of Bihar Police Station, the family of the victim wants to call the Chief Minister a village. It was explained to the family of the victim that once someone is buried in the tomb, the dead body can be taken out only on the orders of the District Magistrate. Violation of this law is a crime and strict action can also be taken.

Agreeing to give a statement: Just like on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, on the same Wednesday, the police officers have explained to the victim's family to record the statement. However, they are still adamant on not recording the statement.

Let us tell you that on the morning of 5 December, the victim was allegedly burnt at Gaura Mor. An eyewitness living 1 km away from there said that he gave a blanket to the victim surrounded by flames. The police went a little further to the hospital with him, but on the other hand, according to Dr. Vinay Tomar, in-charge of Sumerpur Primary Health Center (PHC), I was on duty that morning. Police took him from ambulance. She was almost naked. Some clothes were stuck on his body. He had no blanket.
