Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had met Akhilesh Yadav recently and speculations of an alliance between the two parties were rife. But now there seems to be a dilemma over seat sharing between the two parties. Due to this, AAP has decided to contest the UP Assembly elections on its own.

According to sources, the Samajwadi Party (SP) was not ready to lean too much on the deal on seats, while aap's demand was for more seats. According to media reports, party state spokesperson Vaibhav Maheshwari said the 'AAP' is now preparing to field candidates in all the seats in the state. Not only that, he said that we will announce our candidates in 100 seats in the next one week. The new list will be released a few days later.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh said that by the end of December, our party will finalise the names of candidates from 350 to 400. After Sanjay Singh met Akhilesh Yadav, there was speculation about the alliance between the two parties. Though both the parties did not officially say anything about it, they did not even refute it. That was the reason why speculation about the alliance had intensified.
